We hope your Spring has started well! I just wanted to drop in here with a little note to say that there are still a few spaces left on our April writing workshop – Sunday 26th, 4-6pm GMT

The sessions are relaxed and informal and are designed for all abilities.

This month we will be focusing on: Writing the Haunted House

An overview of the workshops: each class will consist of a warm-up writing exercise, creative prompts, a reading from a source text and individual writing time. Throughout the year we will be exploring classic and contemporary ghost story themes and devices such as: atmosphere, classic ghost story tropes, types of hauntings, locations and landscapes, pacing, tone, foreshadowing and fear – what makes a story frightening and how to obtain and maintain that sweet spot of dread!

In other news: we have been very busy behind the scenes preparing for the release of issue 23 – due out early May. We will be sharing the cover reveal very soon so keep your eyes peeled! We are also about to launch a new audio story from book 22 so keep those ears tuned!
